In response to our recent election we’ve been struggling to find a way to give back and make a positive change in our community. We’ve heard too many stories of our friend’s children being scared of what may happen in our society. We’ve seen some awful displays of hatred during and after the election and we want people to feel safe which is why we fell in love with the symbolism behind these safety pins.
We will donate 100% of the profits equally to ACLU of Illinois and Equality Illinois. We will not make a dime through this project.
We chose yellow because it is bright and visible and represents optimism. We chose to leave the safety pin open because we think we need to have open discussions in this country on both sides to create unity. We hope you will pick one up and spread the love and optimism the country needs right now.
